The final

The final match will take place on 26 November after round 4 and is designed to declare the victor of the 8th edition of Kings Tournament.

The match will consist of 2 rapid chess games between the player of team A who scored most points after 4 rounds and, accordingly, the player of team B who scored most points among his teammates. In case more than one player in a team scored same number of points, the highest Fide Elo-rated player will go into the final. If the final match will end in a tie (1-1), then there will follow a 2 game match with the same time control as in the blitz tournament: 3 min plus 2 sec increment for each move. If this match also ends in a tie, a single decisive sudden death game will follow. The player who wins the drawing of lots may choose the color. The player with the white pieces shall receive 5 minutes, the opponent with the black pieces shall receive 4 minutes whereupon, after the 60th move, both players shall receive an increment of 3 seconds for each move from move 61. In case of a draw the player with the black pieces is declared the winner of the match.
